SCP had a golden time helping ACEP celebrate 50 years of emergency medicine at the 2018 ACEP Scientific Assembly in San Diego, October 1-4.
As usual, this year’s event held multiple surprises for SCP.
We not only met some of the industry’s most remarkable providers from across the globe while on the exhibit room floor and at the EMRA Job & Fellowship Fair, but also during the 50th anniversary opening block-party, exclusively sponsored by SCP.
In addition, SCP Group Medical Officer Dr. Beverly Gladney was recognized as a trailblazer in the healthcare industry as part of ACEP’s Women of Emergency Medicine showcase. Her accomplishments include being the first female voting member on the Medical Education Commission at Baton Rouge General Medical Center in the facility’s 100-year history, the first female Group Medical Officer at SCP, and co-founder of SCP’s Women’s Forum.
SCP’s very own Enterprise Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Randy Pilgrim, FACEP, also received ACEP’s 2017-2018 Honorable Mention Outstanding Speaker of the Year Award during the Assembly and was introduced on the Innovation Stage during the Anniversary Panel featuring ACEP and Schumacher: Adventures and Successes in Advocacy on day one of the conference.
Some of the comments and conversations overheard at the booth included praise for our provider portal, interest in our interactive map, and of course the curiosity about our fun giveaways!
