SCP is heading to San Diego for the 2018 ACEP Scientific Assembly, October 1-4. This year is extra special in that it marks ACEP’s 50th anniversary.
As usual, we are heavily involved with the event in several ways.
Not only are we exhibiting on the show floor (make sure to visit us at booth #923) but we are also a Diamond and Weigenstein Sponsor, and are the exclusive sponsor of ACEP’s 50th anniversary opening party, which will be held block party-style in San Diego’s historic Gaslamp Quarter on October 1, from 7 – 10 p.m.
All delegates are invited to enjoy an evening of excellent cuisine, entertainment by Haute Chile and local DJs, and dancing. After the block party ends at 10 p.m., it picks up again at nearby Jolt’n Joes, a lively sports bar.
As in previous years, residents will also have the opportunity to meet SCP recruiters and medical leaders during the Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association (EMRA) Job & Fellowship Fair October 1 in the Grand Ballroom at the San Diego Marriott Marquis.
Representatives from SCP’s West, North Central, South Central, North East, and South East regions will be available to discuss nationwide career opportunities at SCP.
We are also the proud sponsor of ACEP’s 50th Anniversary Museum special exhibit featuring “The Women of Emergency Medicine.” The exhibit honors the last five decades of emergency medicine and the impact women have made within the field.
Don’t miss Enterprise Chief Medical Officer Dr. Randy Pilgrim, FACEP, during the Anniversary Panel featuring ACEP and Schumacher: Adventures and Successes in Advocacy on October 1, from 12:15-12:30 on the Innovation Stage in innovated (booth #1543) in the exhibit hall.
Delegates can also learn more about ACEP and SCP’s advocacy efforts in an upcoming article “ACEP & Schumacher Clinical Partners: United We Stand” by Dr. Pilgrim. Within the article, he highlights the significant work SCP and ACEP have performed together to champion emergency medicine and influence meaningful change.
