  • 119 Hospital Beds
  • Level 3 Trauma Center
  • 10-Hour MD Shifts
  • 50 Hours Daily Physician Coverage
  • 36 Hours Daily APP Coverage
  • Open ICU with Intensivist Backup
    • 21 ICU beds
  • EMR: EPIC
  • Respond to Rapid Responses & Codes
  • Sub-Specialty Support
  • ABEM only
  • NPPA required to have ATLS

Facility Information

Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center is an acute care facility located 45 minutes north of downtown Atlanta. Accredited by the Joint Commission, Piedmont Cartersville MC serves Cartersville and surrounding areas with a Chest Pain Center, Certified Primary Stroke Center, Level III Trauma Center, Certified Total Joint program, Gold Seal Inpatient Diabetes program, and Advanced Wound Healing Center. The Breast Imaging Center at The Women's Center provides mammography services that are gold seal accredited by the American College of Radiology and The Hope Center, a regional cancer treatment facility, is conveniently located on the hospital campus and provides over 4,000 treatments with 300 new patients per year from a ten-county region.

Cartersville is known for its vibrant downtown, restored Victorian-style homes, museums, shopping, and dining. With a population of 24,000 you can enjoy modern amenities without the busy commutes of the big city. Red Top Mountain and 12,000-acre Lake Allatoona are a short 15-minute drive bringing the best of lake life with activities such as boat/kayak rentals, hiking, parks, cottage rentals, and lakeside beaches. LakePoint Sports complex serves athletes in baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, lacrosse, football, gymnastics, and cheer. LakePoint Sports campus features a 170,000-square-foot Champions Center with the world's largest continuous wood floor. The campus has 8 Major League-sized baseball fields, 3 multi-use fields for soccer, lacrosse, rugby, football as well as Neighbors Terminus Wake Park and Rally Volleyball beach pavilion.
