Schumacher Clinical Partners recognized twelve outstanding medical leaders at the company’s Medical Leadership Conference in Orlando earlier this month, identifying these clinicians for excellence in their field.
The winners of the Excellence in Leadership award were nominated by key leaders within their division of SCP. They were chosen for their consistent demonstration of superior leadership and proven results at their hospital facility and with the organization, and have achieved the highest level of leadership and performance in their role.
Recipients of the Excellence in Leadership award included:
Dr. Jerry Emmons and Dr. Barb Connor, Medical Directors, Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY; Dr. Luis Pellicia, Medical Director, and Veronica Vega, Lead NP, Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, TX; Dr. Rick Harrelson, Medical Director, Medical Center Enterprise in Enterprise, AL; Dr. Greg Folkert, Medical Director, SSM Lake St. Louis and SSM DePaul in Lake St. Louis, MO; Melissa Witzigman, Lead PA, Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City, TN; Dr. Garik Misenar, Medical Director, Johnson City Medical Center in Johnson City, TN; Dr. Rachel Goldstein, Medical Director, Thorek Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL; Dr. Joseph Rose, Medical Director, Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, AR; Dr. Emil Fernando, Medical Director, Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO; and Ray Brown, Lead NP, University Health Conway in Monroe, LA.
During the conference, Dr. Gerald Max Stell, Medical Director with Minden Medical Center in Minden, LA, was also presented with a Lifetime Service Award for his leadership and dedication to excellence in patient care throughout his last 20 years with SCP.
In addition, 100 other providers were recognized with Top Performance awards. This reflected the efforts of those departments that met or exceeded performance metrics throughout the year.
