May 16, 2022, Atlanta, GA – Last week, SCP Health (SCP) gathered over 700 medical directors, lead nurse practitioners, and lead physician assistants along with operational leaders, in Orlando, FL for the annual Medical Leadership Conference.
“We were pleased to welcome medical directors from across the nation to our annual Medical Leadership Conference. Our goal each year is for our attendees to join in a forum of peers to share information, gain new knowledge, and also celebrate the individual and team accomplishments,” explained Beverly Gladney, MD, SCP Health Executive Vice President of Clinical Quality and Education.
The annual event included a variety of programming on relevant topics, including keynotes from SCP Enterprise Chief Medical Officer, Randy Pilgrim, MD, FACEP, FAAFP and several inspirational speakers, including Alison Levine speaking about leadership mindsets, Jenice Baker, MD, addressing medical racism, Jay Kaplan, MD, presenting on emotional intelligence, Stefanie Johnson, PhD, discussing diversity and inclusion, and Josef Thundiyil, MD, on the patient care impact of THC legalization.
Throughout the event, attendees took advantage of continuing education opportunities on current topics, such as clinician wellness and engagement, digital health in the hospital and at home, and patient experience best practices as well as training on new tools and technology to help support clinical workflow and collaboration. Additionally, attendees met with their regional group leaders to share best practices and connected with their operations and staffing colleagues to ensure streamlined clinical and operational alignment. “Our medical directors, lead nurse practitioners, and physician assistants had the opportunity to meet with all aspects of the company, network with one another, and enjoy being part of the SCP Health family,” said David Schillinger, MD, SCP Health Chief Medical Officer.
